Today, we take for granted the interactivity of touch screens on banking terminals. In 1988, none of this existed. The Caisses Desjardins were at the forefront of this kind of customer service. I was asked to create bold visual environments to present these tools and highlight their innovative aspects.
By developing visual themes inspired by the mineral and the astronomical worlds, we shot a series of three-dimensional settings. The saturated atmosphere of the colors and the appeal of pure geometric shapes served as backdrops for the presenter and customer service options. Just as 3d computer graphics and motion design was picking up steam, this exercise allowed me to experiment with combining real objects with virtual imagery.
